clone: cleanup the "cleanup dir" logic used during local clone With the previous code, there was a small windows were we could delete too much data. This should no longer be the case. (This is an opportunity improvement while looking at something next to that.) Differential Revision: https://phab.mercurial-scm.org/D10840

  $ cat > abortcommit.py <<EOF

  $ hg init foo
  $ cd foo
  $ echo foo > foo
  $ hg add foo

mq may keep a reference to the repository so __del__ will not be
called and .hg/journal.dirstate will not be deleted:

  $ hg ci -m foo
  error: pretxncommit.nocommits hook failed: no commits allowed
  transaction abort!
  rollback completed
  abort: no commits allowed

  $ hg ci -m foo
