obsolete: delete three unused utility functions

None of this function has been used in the past 5 years, so I think it is safe
to just kill them. All code accessing rich markers is using 'getmarkers(...)'
instead (or raw markers).

  $ echo This is file a1 > a
  $ hg add a
  $ hg commit -m "commit #0"
  $ ls
  a

  $ hg add b
