merge: back out single-parent fast-forward merge

 summary:     merge: fast-forward merge with descendant

Before named branches, the invariants were:

a) "merges" always have two parents
b) p1 is not linearly related to p2

Adding named branches made (b) problematic, so the above patch was
introduced, which fixed (b) but broke (a).

After discussion, we decided that the invariants should be:

a) "merges" always have two parents
b) p1 is not linearly related to p2 OR p1 and p2 are on different branches

  $ hg init

no bookmarks

  $ hg bookmarks
  no bookmarks set

set bookmark X

  $ hg bookmark X

list bookmarks

  $ hg bookmark
   * X                         -1:000000000000

list bookmarks with color

  $ hg --config extensions.color= --config color.mode=ansi \

update to bookmark X

  $ hg bookmark -m X Z

  $ hg bookmarks

new bookmark Y

commit

  $ echo 'b' > b
  $ hg add b

Verify that switching to Z updates the current bookmark:

Switch back to Y for the remaining tests in this file:

update to tip

set bookmark Y using -r .
