gitweb: port code selection without line numbers from paper This is adapted from f2e4fdb3dd27 and e92d4b8530cb. It also fixes issue4790 in gitweb; tab characters now have meaningful width on the modified pages (file view, file diff, changeset).

Mercurial
=========

Mercurial is a fast, easy to use, distributed revision control tool
for software developers.

Basic install:

 $ make            # see install targets
 $ make install    # do a system-wide install
 $ hg debuginstall # sanity-check setup
 $ hg              # see help

Running without installing:

 $ make local      # build for inplace usage
 $ ./hg --version  # should show the latest version
