stringutil: teach pprint about sets

This is the old (Python 2) way of printing sets. I actually prefer the
Python 3 version of the repr, but this will result in less test churn
in the short term.

Set up

  $ hg init repo
  $ cd repo

Try to import an empty patch

  $ hg import --no-commit - <<EOF
  > EOF
  applying patch from stdin
  abort: stdin: no diffs found
  [255]

No dirstate backups are left behind

  $ ls .hg/dirstate* | sort
  .hg/dirstate
