Find changesets by keywords (author, files, the commit message), revision number or hash, or revset expression.
py3: have bytes version of sys.executable sys.executable on Python 3 returns unicodes and we want bytes. So this patch adds a new pycompat.sysexecutable which returns bytes by encoding using os.fsencode() since it is path variable.

Mercurial

Mercurial is a fast, easy to use, distributed revision control tool
for software developers.

Basic install:

 $ make            # see install targets
 $ make install    # do a system-wide install
 $ hg debuginstall # sanity-check setup
 $ hg              # see help

Running without installing:

 $ make local      # build for inplace usage
 $ ./hg --version  # should show the latest version
