match: add the abs() method This is a utility to make it easier for subrepos to convert a file name to the full path rooted at the top repository. It can replace the various path joining lambdas, and doesn't require the prefix to be passed into the method that wishes to build such a path. The name is derived from the following pattern in annotate() and other places: name = ((pats and rel) or abs) The pathname separator is not os.sep in part to avoid confusion with variables named 'abs' or similar that _are_ '/' separated, and in part because some methods like cmdutils.forget() and maybe cmdutils.add() need to build a '/' separated path to the root repo. This can replace the manual path building there.

provides an interface to register a generic many-to-many mapping between
some (namespaced) names and nodes. The goal here is to control the
pollution of jamming things into tags or bookmarks (in extension-land) and
to simplify internal bits of mercurial: log output, tab completion, etc.

More precisely, we define a list of names (the namespace), a mapping of
names to nodes, and a mapping from nodes to names. Each mapping
    returns a list of nodes.

Furthermore, each name mapping will be passed a name to lookup which might
not be in its domain. In this case, each method should return an empty list
    and not raise an error.

We'll have a dictionary '_names' where each key is a namespace and
its value is a dictionary of functions:
'templatename': name to use for templating (usually the singular form
                      of the plural namespace name)
'namemap': function that takes a name and returns a list of nodes
'nodemap': function that takes a node and returns a list of names
