gendoc: use real ui in place of stdout

ui attributes will be required by a help function, so a file object can't be
used as a fake ui.

Fast-forward:

  (branch merge, don't forget to commit)

Bogus fast-forward should fail:

  $ hg merge b
  abort: merging with a working directory ancestor has no effect
  [255]

Even with strange revset (issue4465)

  $ hg merge ::.
  abort: merging with a working directory ancestor has no effect
  [255]
