ancestor: silence multiple ancestor warning outside of merge (issue4234)

The current situation is a bit of a layering violation as
merge-specific knowledge is pushed down to lower layers and leaks
merge assumptions into other code paths.

Here, we simply silence the warning with a hack. Both the warning and
the hack will probably go away in the near future when bid merge is
made the default.

Testing tagging with the EOL extension

setup repository

  $ hg init repo
  $ cd repo
  $ cat > .hgeol <<EOF
  > [patterns]
  > ** = native
  > EOF

  $ hg commit --addremove -m 'checkin'
  adding .hgeol
  adding a.txt

Tag:

  $ hg tag 1.0

Rewrite .hgtags file as it would look on a new checkout:

  $ hg update -q null
  $ hg update -q

Touch .hgtags file again:

  $ hg tag 2.0

  $ cd ..
