graft: default `base` argument to common case of `ctx.p1()`

I also updated the callers that wanted that, partly to simplify and
partly to show that it works.

  $ hg branch testing
  marked working directory as branch testing
  (branches are permanent and global, did you want a bookmark?)

Should not issue warning:

  $ hg ci -q -Amd
