# HG changeset patch # User Raphaël Gomès # Date 1600848136 -7200 # Node ID 75f785888a7b7ab778fb05ba004597096f8e27d3 # Parent 2a169781556ee3deb819640208fe8c1e582b381d rust-matchers: make `Matcher` trait object-safe Before this patch, it is not possible to create a `Matcher` trait-object (like `Box`), because of the use of a generic parameters in some methods, namely `impl AsRef`. While this makes the interface less flexible for callers in theory, it does not change anything in the current codebase. Until something like [1] is implemented, this is a "tradeoff" that we need to make anyway.
